Music and art in general have always offered a form of escapism. Nowadays, many people find that escape on the internet and in front of screens. For us, it was CDs, comic books and magazines that gave us somewhere to go to.
The sound of Magazines carries that same sense of youthful freedom, where anything feels possible and you can shape your own reality. We reach back to that innocence but don’t get stuck there.
Our lyrics look forward and ask difficult questions. What is real? What is fake? Who are the masses? And most importantly: who are we?
